The Ohio State and Michigan rivalry is one of the biggest rivalries in all of college sports, if not the sporting world in general. With the two teams seemingly legitimately disliking each other, that rivalry sometimes translates to the NFL when players get drafted. For newly drafted Green Bay Packer Rashan Gary, he’ll have a chance to take his frustration on Ohio State out later in the year.

The Packers Week 14 game – a contest against the Washington Redskins – may not seem like a major one, but for Gary, it could be.

Assuming that the linebacker will be playing, he’ll have a chance to potentially line up against former Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins, who was drafted fifteenth overall by Washington in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Not only will the game likely be big for both teams, as it takes place during the final stretch of the 2019 regular season, but it’ll also allow the pair to once again compete with each other on the field.

Of course, the big question is whether or not both players will be playing in that game.

Despite being drafted so high, Haskins will still need to win over the hearts of Washington and show everyone that he can be their quarterback of the future, or at the very least, this season. As far as Gary goes, he’ll need to show that the injury concerns surrounding his shoulder are nothing severe, and that he can contribute as soon as he gets on the field.

As questions surrounding Gary’s injured shoulder linger, with many thinking that it was a torn labrum, Gary has denied any truth to that, and said that he will be ready to play at the start of the year.

For the Packers sake, hopefully, Gary is telling the truth, as the player taken twelfth overall would be a massive boost to a Packers defense that has been lacking in production over the years.
