The Green Bay Packers are experiencing great success in their first year under head coach Matt LaFleur. He has revolutionized the offense, giving Aaron Rodgers a boost. However, Tramon Williams believes that the defense hasn't matched the offense's productivity.

Matt Schneidman reported the defensive back's statement on his Twitter profile, and his words were a necessary sting for the Packers.

“We gotta look in the mirror at ourselves and do better than we did the first half of the year,” Williams said. “We did OK, but we still gave up too many yards. Hopefully we'll get hot when we need to.”

The Packers have one of the worst defenses in the NFL, allowing their opponents a total of 3,847 yards. They have so far made up for their defensive lapses by scoring more than their opponents. Their wins against the Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys are a testament to the philosophy the Packers have taken up.

However, Green Bay fans who know their stuff know that this won't last once the playoffs kick in. When a team has allotted enough time to study how they approach the defense, they will be able to exploit their weaknesses against them and give them a short postseason run.

It's certain that LaFleur knows about these defensive lapses and is working hard on taking care of them. He has a chance to establish the Packers as a solid defensive team as well with the remaining games they have this season.

They had the bye week to sort out their defensive lapses, and they have an opportunity to make a defensive statement by shutting down the San Francisco 49ers.
