The Green Bay Packers played a close game against the Detroit Lions, and they had to do so without one of their wideouts, Geronimo Allison.

The 25-year-old had to be taken out of the game after suffering a horrible fall during the contest. According to the Packers' official Twitter account, they are looking at the possibility of a concussion.

It was a wise move for the team to pull him out of the game after that brutal hit he sustained in the third quarter. He was flipped by the defense in midair and hit his head on the ground hard. He wasn't able to immediately move, and medical professionals immediately rushed to the field and checked him out.

Moreover, Pro Football Talk's Curtis Crabtree confirmed that he's also questionable with a chest injury from the hit. Depending on the results of the subsequent tests he'll take, he might not be able to play in Week 7 against the Oakland Raiders.

It's a shame for Green Bay to lose such an important wideout in a close duel like this. He may not be a frequent target for Aaron Rodgers, but Geronimo Allison does run his routes well. He has gained 104 yards and two touchdowns on only 10 receptions. He is a terrific pass option who can get the chains moving.

If he will be out for a considerable amount of time, the team will have to count on Allen Lazard to start in his stead. While it's not an ideal picture, it's better than to risk getting a key wideout any more injured.
