A number of NFL teams are in need of receiving help amid all of the offseason moves. Maybe none of them are more in need than the Green Bay Packers. According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the Packers are among three teams that have expressed interest in trading for Houston Texans wideout Brandin Cooks.

The Packers, along with the Dallas Cowboys and New York Jets have made calls to Houston, inquiring about the possibility of landing the former Pro Bowl wide receiver.

Dallas lost Amari Cooper and Cedrick Wilson this offseason. So, clearly they have a need there. The Jets could always use some help offensively. But arguably the Packers are the most desperate and have the most to offer.

Green Bay landed a first-round and second-round pick when they traded away All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders. The Packers also lost speedy wideout Marquez Valdes-Scantling in free agency. It is unknown whether or not Packers wideout Allen Lazard is even a number two receiver, never mind a number one.

Cooks has had six 1,000 yard receiving seasons and is only 28 years old. He has been a very consistent deep threat for his entire career. Cooks has 205 catches of 15 yards or more since 2014. That is the fifth most in the NFL since that time.

However, Cooks has also dealt with concussion issues throughout his career. The Packers might not want to trade away too much for a receiver who could be lost for the year with one big hit.
