Previously a gadget player with the Ohio State Buckeyes, speedster Curtis Samuel has faced a steep learning curve to transition to a full-time receiver with the Carolina Panthers. 2017 showed that, and 2018 brought progress. Despite a limited snap count in 2018, the 22-year-old produced a solid 494 yards and five touchdowns as a pass-catcher. Now, 2019 isn't about progress; it's about being a legitimate threat at receiver.

So far, he's done just that, turning heads in Panthers training camp on a daily basis. He connected on a beautiful comeback route against veteran James Bradbury with nearly undefendable, precise, route-running.

Twitter is taking notice of Samuel, and so is head coach Ron Rivera. He told reporters after training camp, via 24/7 sports,

It's [his progression] been amazing. And a lot of it has to do with his work ethic. Just how hard he has worked, the extra things that he does: The things he does before practice, the things he does out of practice, you see. And then you see him take it and transfer it onto the field. And the real big test obviously will come when we start playing preseason games.

The young receiver isn't just a project now; he's an enjoyable receiver to watch.

Right now, he's leaps and bounds from where he was his first year to his second year, and now I think he's taking an even bigger leap. And it's exciting to watch.

Let this be a lesson for you kids; if you work hard, you'll reap the benefits. Also, Samuel should be added to your fantasy draft boards.
