Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen is finally healthy and it's showing with his play on the field. After being hurt Week 1 each of the last two years, Olsen has caught 16 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns.

Olsen said Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals was the first game since 2016 where he felt normal on the field.

“Today, I felt like finally I could run and separate and not be caught in my own head of being in pain. Just go out and play,” Olsen said via the Charlotte Observer. “I haven’t had that in a long time. Since 2016, I haven’t played a game where I felt normal. And it’s nice.”

“It’s a lot easier to play when you’re not a disaster.”

A lot of the time a young quarterback will use a tight end as a security blanket and that was no different for Kyle Allen on Sunday who completed six passes for 75 yards and two touchdowns.

There were some who thought Olsen wouldn't be back for this season, instead, transitioning to a broadcasting career, but Olsen said he enjoys playing football too much to give it up yet.

“I don’t know. I really still enjoy doing this,” he said. “I felt like I had a lot of unfinished business left to do. That would have been a sour way to end my career.”

“To just fall off a cliff the last two years? Fall into obscurity? That’s not something I was overly excited about.”

As long as Olsen stays healthy, it looks like he is going to have a job in the NFL for as long as he wants it.
