Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady will go head to head when the New England Patriots play the Green Bay Packers this Sunday, and one hot topic is on everyone's mind. A GOAT typically lives for 15-18 years, but Brady going strong in year 41. Many think that if Rodgers had the same kind of consistent system that Brady has around him, he could become the NFL's best quarterback ever. When asked about who he thought was the game's best, Rodgers kept his response short and simple.
“He's got five championships,” Rodgers ESPN when referencing Brady earlier today. “I think that ends most discussions.”
Tom Brady is quite aware of how highly regarded he is, but he has never claimed to be the greatest himself. He says their are too many different variables to consider, and acknowledged that their are plenty of other greats in the league right now. He had high praise for Aaron Rodgers as their impending matchup approaches.
“I think it's a hypothetical question that is truly impossible to answer,” Brady said. “It's great to debate and those types of things. … It's hard to compare positions and eras. It's impossible to answer. I think Aaron is one of the best ever to play the game. He's got every skill you need to be a great quarterback.”
The Patriots have won four straight, which clearly makes them the team to beat. Their Sunday night battle will give spectators a small taste of what these two are really capable of.
