Some rumors came out over the weekend that twin brothers Devin and Jason McCourty playing together for the New England Patriots might be short-lived as Jason might be on the roster bubble. McCourty came over this NFL offseason after being released by the Tennessee Titans and signed with the Patriots not long after.

McCourty didn't play at all during Thursday's preseason opener, and Patriots coach Bill Belichick was asked about the report that he was on the roster bubble. Belichick said that he has been picking things up good and he has seen no issues so far out of Jason. He also said that with so many players so one week he plays some of the guys and the next he might play someone else.

“The guys we played, we played,” Belichick said via Pro Football Talk. “The guys we didn’t play, we didn’t play. We’ll play other guys this week and we’ll see how it goes. I mean, you all know I’m not talking about anybody’s injuries, so there’s no point in even bringing that up. We’re not going through that. Can’t look at everybody every week — there’s just too many guys. So, some guys will play one week, some guys will play more the other week.”

Jason told the media that he isn't dealing with injuries but wouldn't really talk more about why he didn't play in the first game of the preseason.

The Patriots next game will be on Thursday night against the Philadelphia Eagles, and it will be a storyline to watch if he hits the field.
