The New England Patriots Week 15 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts saw Bill Belichick and Co. fall short of extending their winning streak to eight games. The Patriots were playing from behind throughout the entire 27-17 loss, having let Indianapolis jump out to an early lead in the first half. New England was never able to close the gap, and ultimately lost its first game in almost two months.

Belichick acknowledges his coaching decisions played a significant factor in the Patriots' Saturday Night loss, but also noted that the team failed to live up to expectations during the game.

A 67-yard rushing touchdown courtesy of Jonathan Taylor capped off the Colts' victory, putting the game out of reach for the Patriots.

Mac Jones had one of his worst games in the NFL, completing just 26-of-45 pass attempts for 299 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. It was just the second multi-pick game Jones has had thus far in his career. The defense didn't have a bad performance altogether, though the final run from Taylor will leave a sour taste in their mouths.

Belichick is a coach who expects perfection from his team, and anything less than that is considered a failure in his eyes. Saturday night's performance was a significant hiccup in what has otherwise been a hugely successful season in the Meadowlands. At 9-5, the Patriots still hold a 1.5-game lead over the Bills in the AFC East, so Belichick will likely be focusing on fixing the team's mishaps and preparing for their Week 16 clash against Buffalo.
