The New England Patriots are hopeful to remain competitive next season even though the organization has lost some valuable assets. Specifically, New England took a hit after Josh McDaniels took over as the Las Vegas Raiders head coach. Bill Belichick opens up about the coaching staff situation going on with this team.

According to Mark Daniels, Bill Belichick surprisingly isn't keen on the idea of having an official offensive or defensive coordinator this upcoming season. The Patriots head coach goes as far as to say, “I'm not big on titles.”

It's a weird decision, but Bill Belichick is the evil genius with six Super Bowl rings coaching the Patriots. So maybe we're the crazy ones for thinking New England should have an offensive and defensive coordinator. Regardless, Belichick seems confident in his coaching staff as they hope to replace McDaniels, per Tom E. Curran and Mark Daniels.

Even though Belichick claims he won't have an offensive coordinator this season, the Patriots' legendary coach does mention Matt Patricia often when discussing the offense. According to Mike Reiss, Patricia will be the person calling plays whenever New England takes the field.

It should be an interesting season for the Patriots, as they look like the third-best team in the AFC East right now. The division is loaded with talent, especially after the Miami Dolphins miraculously traded for Tyreek Hill. Even so, New England will find a way to remain competitive, as Bill Belichick will do everything in his power to keep his team within reach.
