Cam Newton has never shied away from expressing himself, never staying quiet on or off of the football field. But upon joining the New England Patriots, Newton may be taking a different approach. Despite posting workout videos of himself in recent weeks, Newton was curiously quiet during his arrival in Boston on Wednesday.

Nearly a month ago, after waiting patiently for the right opportunity, Newton inked a one-year deal with the Patriots. News broke of Newton finally arriving to the Boston airport on Wednesday and reporters flocked to ask him questions. Instead of answering questions, the former NFL MVP made it clear that he's buying into the Patriots way of doing things.

“No disrespect to nobody but I’m extremely ecstatic but I’m not talking,” Newton when pressed for comment.

Over the years, Bill Belichick has become notorious for his short and simple responses to media members. At the same time, his way of conducting press conferences has rubbed off on some of his players. It appears that Newton is taking a similar approach as the legendary coach when it comes to dealing with reporters in New England.

Since he decided to join the Patriots, Newton has posted workout videos with Mohamed Sanu, N'Keal Harry, and Julian Edelman. In addition to that, he's shared videos of him exclaiming his added motivation for teams passing on him this offseason.

During his time with the Carolina Panthers, Newton was a flamboyant character that didn't hesitate to speak his mind on anything. However, even though he's still true to himself, Newton appears to be taking a strictly business attitude into the 2020 season.
