Tom Brady’s supermodel wife was a shining beacon of grace in the middle of defeat Sunday, as Gisele Bündchen congratulated the Philadelphia Eagles shortly after Nick Foles and company defeated her husband’s team, 41-33.

Gisele Bündchen’s message had a very different tone than the one she had six years ago when the Patriots lost to the New York Giants in the Super Bowl. During that time, Bündchen was captured on video chiding Patriots receivers for dropping balls. Having said that, six years is a lot of time for someone to develop a new behavior when it comes to losing, and it seems that Bündchen has truly changed her ways.

It’s not only through social media in which Bündchen exemplified class amidst failure. According to Yahoo Sports columnist Dan Wetzel, Bündchen also greeted each and every Eagles player she met in the hallway following Philadelphia’s Super Bowl success at the expense of the Patriots.

Gisele, walking a back hallway to leave the stadium, took time to personally congratulate every Eagles player she ran into. They looked star struck.

In a separate report by USA TODAY’s Josh Peter, Bündchen also consoled her kids after seeing their father succumb at the hands of the Eagles despite setting a new Super Bowl record with 505 passing yards to go with three touchdowns and zero interceptions.

“They haven’t won in a million years,’’ Bündchen said of the Eagles, and it probably felt that way for the Eagles fans before their team won their first Super Bowl title and first NFL championship since 1960.

But Brady’s two sons and daughter were not easily consoled.

At one point, 5-year-old daughter Vivian blurted out, “The Eagles won the Super Bowl.’’

Replied Bündchen, “Just this time. Daddy won five times. They never won before.

“Their whole life, they never won a Super Bowl. You have to let someone else win sometimes.’’

We could detect some trace of burn and sarcasm in there, but we can’t say that Bündchen was not wrong either.
