During his run with the New York Jets, quarterback Sam Darnold had grand struggles against the New England Patriots.

Darnold recorded six interceptions and posted an 0-3 record in three career starts against the Patriots while with the Jets.

Now with the Carolina Panthers, not much has changed for the fourth-year quarterback.

Darnold has thrown for three interceptions in his team's Week 9 home matchup with the Patriots. Cornerback J.C. Jackson returned one of them the other way for a pick-six, which has essentially put the finishing touches on the game for New England.

Longtime Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman sure is enjoying this all-around dominant performance from his former team.

On Twitter, Edelman tweeted out a GIF of a ghost. Of course, this is alluding to when Darnold famously noted on the sideline during the Jets' 33-0 home loss to the Patriots in 2019 that he is “seeing ghosts.”

Following a sluggish start to the campaign, the Patriots will now boast a 5-4 record after nine games in the season. Even with a rookie quarterback under center coupled with a multitude of new faces on both sides of the ball, the Patriots surely continue to prove plenty of doubters wrong as they aim to make a return to the playoffs this season.
