The New England Patriots have the most interesting free-agency situation this spring with future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady available to sign elsewhere for the first time in his 20-year NFL career. How high will the Patriots go to re-sign the 42-year-old?

According to ESPN, the Patriots may be willing to pony up $25 million in a single season to retain the six-time Super Bowl champion Brady.

Brady has reportedly been courted by multiple NFL franchises, like the newly relocated Las Vegas Raiders, and west coast teams San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Chargers (Brady grew up in California). However, signing a deal with total length of five more years worth collectively $125 million could edge out competition for the former 199th overall pick in the draft.

At the same time, the Worldwide Leader is reporting the Chargers' offer at two years and $64 million ($32 million per year) and two more contenders: the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and last season's AFC title game runner-up Tennessee Titans, who knocked out the New England Patriots in the first round of the postseason.

The Buccaneers would reportedly spend $102 million over three years ($34 million per year) for Brady's services while the Titans would cut a check for four years and $112 million ($28 million per year).

For Brady to consider a team that doesn't play in Foxborough, reportedly it would take more than money, with upgrades at weapons lining up wide a big pull for the aging signal-caller. That wasn't the case for the Patriots in 2019 as they saw injuries tear down the wide receiver corps along with Antonio Brown coming and going in the span of a week.
