New Orleans Pelicans teammates in Josh Hart and JJ Redick recently had a friendly banter on Twitter with the former saying that he hated the latter back in his collegiate days. Redick then jokingly responded that Hart wasn't the only one to do so.

The Pelicans sniper was one of the most decorated collegiate players that the Duke basketball program had in recent memory. Redick served as co-captain of his team along with senior point guard Daniel Ewing back in the 2004-2005 season where he won the ACC Player of the Year Award and the Adolph F. Rupp Trophy for national player of the year.

He carried the momentum and won more player of the year honors in the 2005-2006 season including a consensus national college player of the year award. He had 36 double-figure scoring games in a single season, tied as of March 28, 2010, for 5th-most in Duke history with Jon Scheyer, Shane Battier, and Jason Williams.

The Tennessee native is still Duke's all-time leading scorer with 2,557 points and the leading scorer in ACC tournament history with 225 points. As a marquee player of the Blue Devils, Redick was often on the receiving end of criticism from opposing fans.

Redick eventually capped off his amateur years by having his No.4 jersey retired by the program back in 2007.

Redick went on to the big leagues where he was selected 11th overall by the Orlando Magic back in the 2006 NBA Draft. He remains to be one of the league's most feared snipers from beyond the arc through 15 seasons played.
