The New Orleans Pelicans have yet to make any significant update on the status of superstar forward Zion Williamson. However, if you look at how he's throwing down the ball of late then you could almost guess that the former first overall pick is going to play tomorrow.

Here's a look at the Pelicans star busting out an eye-popping 360 dunk during a recent workout session (h/t Cassidy Hubbarth of ESPN):

Williamson is definitely looking good and he appears to have gotten the spring back in his step. Nevertheless, this does not necessarily mean that he's going to be playing anytime soon.

The Pelicans have a do-or-die matchup against the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday. A loss will officially end their season while a victory will keep their playoff hopes alive. Based on what we're seeing from Williamson of late, it would not be a complete shock if he's able to return to action should New Orleans progress into the playoffs.

Then again, we need to keep our expectations in check given how this is Zion Williamson we're talking about here. If there's anything we've learned from him in the first three years of his career is that he's defintiely not the most durable player around.
