The Philadelphia 76ers are not yet done with the Toronto Raptors. With their backs against the wall and elimination from the NBA playoffs looking them in the eye, the Raptors overcame injuries and stole Game 4. Joel Embiid and the Sixers will get another chance to clinch the series on their home floor.

Physicality defined the Raptors' 110-102 win. Embiid was held to a lowly scoring output and was visibly frustrated with how the game was called. The Sixers had a great chance to clinch the series after Fred VanVleet left the game in the second quarter with a hip injury. They let it slip by.

Embiid's thumb injury, which was revealed to be a ligament tear, may slow down Philly but it should not sink their chances. After a brutal defeat in Game 4, the 76ers are poised to take Monday night's Game 5 and advance in the NBA playoffs.

3 bold 76ers predictions for Game 5 vs. Raptors

3. Joel Embiid goes for 40 points

Embiid recorded 21 points and eight rebounds in the previous game, which is not impressive for someone of his caliber. The superstar has to be better for the 76ers. With the home crowd cheering him on, he should be able to do just that.

Although his thumb injury may have made things difficult for him in the previous contest, Embiid knows when to turn it up and go harder. Toronto has no defender who can take him one-on-one. It's only a matter of wanting to put the other team away no matter what. Embiid has shown this mentality before and Game 5 is the best time to show it again.

A 40-point outing is well within the realm of possibility for Embiid. He scored 36 points against Toronto in 34 minutes in the regular season, though the Raptors were missing several key players. However, playing more minutes and with a chip on his shoulder should be a recipe for a totally dominant performance in Philadelphia.

Embiid is fed up with the Raptors — as well as the referees — and will look to put his opponent's title dreams to bed. When he gets going, there is no one who can stop him.

2. James Harden has his best game of the series

While Embiid and Tyrese Maxey doing the heavy lifting for the Sixers so far, it's time for the star they acquired midseason to show what he can do. James Harden has done his job as the playmaker for Philadelphia — averaging 9.8 assists per game — but the basket may open up more with Toronto dealing with numerous injuries.

VanVleet is dealing with a hip injury that knocked him out of Game 4 in the second quarter. This should open up the floor more for Maxey, whom VanVleet guarded. The quickness from the Raptors star made him the ideal defender but the Raptors will most likely have to call an audible. The scrambling Toronto will have to do to contain him (while also dealing with Embiid) should open the doors for Harden to get buckets.

The Raptor's perimeter defense will be much weaker with VanVleet either hobbled or sidelined. Scottie Barnes not being at 100% hurts as well. Harden has fallen back as a tertiary option but will have to play like the main one if he wants to put the Sixers on top.

1. The Sixers take the series in a decisive fashion

The Raptors prohibited a clean sweep in Game 4 but the gentleman's sweep is still in play. Now that the 76ers are in front of their home crowd, they will clinch the series.

Toronto has looked like a vastly inferior team so far at Wells Fargo Center. Whistles may have contributed to it but they are no excuse for going down by over 20 points in both contests. Philadelphia held a 24-point lead in Game 1 and a 29-point lead in Game 2. It's completely disingenuous to blame the officials for such big deficits.

The 76ers have championship aspirations and cannot afford to get bogged down in the first round. Even though they are in control of the series, it's in their best interest to get it over with. The urgency they feel should be enough to bring out a magnificent Joel Embiid performance and motivate Philly to advance.

Final prediction: the 76ers beat the Raptors by a score of 119-105 and advance in the NBA playoffs.
