Remember that viral moment back on Jan. 23 when Detroit Pistons point guard Reggie Jackson seemingly interrupted star power forward Blake Griffin's postgame interview, and Griffin didn't seem to pleased about it?

Well, the Pistons are 11-5 since then and Jackson has been playing his best basketball of the season. But sensing that things weren't right between him and his point guard, Griffin spoke with Jackson to clear the air.

Via Rob Beard of the Detroit News:

Griffin thought something needed to be done, so he had a short talk with Jackson to clear the air — and ensure there wasn’t any animosity on either side. With 35 games left on the schedule, they still had time to turn things around but needed to play better to make a playoff run.

“I was pissed in general and he knew that,” Griffin told The Detroit News. “Since I’ve been here, I’ve tried to hold everybody probably to a higher standard than needs to be, because I know what it takes to build that foundation of where we want to go. That’s all that is.

“I hold myself to that same standard — probably higher.”

What Griffin said has obviously worked.

Detroit is 31-31 on the season, good for sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings.

The Pistons are 8-2 in their last 10 games and are looking to make the postseason for the first time since 2016.
