Detroit Pistons point guard Reggie Jackson will make his preseason debut against the Indiana Pacers today after missing the first two games, according to Vince Ellis of the Detroit Free Press.

The Pistons will have this one last game at their brand new Little Caesars Arena before hitting the road against other Eastern Conference rivals Toronto Raptors and Milwaukee Bucks.

Jackson had been limited this offseason due to left knee tendinitis, opting on a 16-week protocol that saw him have limited wear and tear on his knee. Last month, he was recently allowed to ramp up basketball activities with his fellow teammates.

“I had five months of just not doing anything so just getting back out there with my teammates, playing in practice, that was more my hurdle,” Jackson said Monday morning after the team’s shootaround.

“I guess I’m finally happy to be able to play in a regular preseason game, but most of my joy came when I got to play against my teammates and got back to moving and trying to be myself.”

Jackson struggled last season after a brilliant spark after he was acquired via trade from the Oklahoma City Thunder for D.J. Augustin.

This will mark Jackson's first time on the court since March 24 during a 28-point loss at the Orlando Magic last season.

“It will be good to see him out there,” Van Gundy said. “I’m hoping Friday (at Milwaukee) that we have one exhibition game with our rotation.

“That’s been the only disappointing thing is we’ve had exactly zero time with our top five or six guys together so that’s not great, but there’s nothing you can do about it.”

Jackson will be joined by Reggie Bullock, who is expected to be available for today's game, though center Andre Drummond (pinkeye) and new acquisition Avery Bradley (ankle) will miss the outing.
