The Detroit Pistons were handed a pretty sound beating by the Cleveland Cavaliers last time out, 116-88. LeBron James once again played a key part in the win as he finished with 18 points and eight assists in 27 minutes.

After the game, Pistons forward Stanley Johnson broke down what happened with him guarding James. He lamented the fact that he picked up an early foul, which took away some of his aggressiveness while guarding LeBron, but still praised James' greatness in the end.

“He's a great player and all that, but. What really killed me was my first foul. That takes my aggression away and sometimes I think some stuff going on. But, first one, first play of the game. I can't really get into him and get one that I earned and now it's like I have to really play off of him because I come up on him and he still gets to the basket. But that's what great players do, they figure out the gameplan, they find a way to attack it and that's what he did all night.”

Johnson and James go way back to a couple of years, when Johnson was a rookie and the two met in the first round of the playoffs. Johnson confidently talked some trash with LeBron, saying he was in King James’ head. The Pistons would get swept in four games, although they did make it somewhat difficult for the Cavs.

After a couple of years, Johnson still hasn’t quite progressed into the defensive stopper the Pistons hoped he’d be. But at least he still seems to have the self-confidence to believe he can hang with LeBron if not for those fouls.
