An NBA scout wouldn’t be surprised if a playoff team tries to trade for Detroit Pistons shooting guard Reggie Bullock, according to James L. Edwards III of the Atheltic

Reggie Bullock is making $2,500,000 this season and he'll become an unrestricted free agent after this season. The Pistons are currently out of the playoff picture and could be sellers at the NBA trade deadline if things don't improve within the next week or so.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if a team with the possibility to win a playoff series or more went after Reggie,” an NBA scout said. “His shooting is valuable.”

In 40 games this season for Detroit, Reggie Bullock is averaging 12.0 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. The 27-year-old is shooting 40.8 percent from the field, 37.9 percent from beyond the arc and 87.9 percent from the free-throw line.

The Pistons entered Wednesday with a record of just 21-28. They are currently in the ninth spot in the Eastern Conference standings. The NBA trade deadline is Feb. 7. Reggie Bullock is having a career year in the Motor City and he may be playing his way out of the Pistons' price range.

Detroit has been one of the most disappointing teams this season. A roster which features Blake Griffin, Andre Drummond and Reggie Jackson should be better than the ninth spot in the East. It will be interesting to see what the team does with Reggie Bullock at the trade deadline.
