During the Pokemon Players Cup IV Global Finals, The Pokemon Company gave out a download code. The download code is for a free Beast Ball which players can acquire in-game. This code is only valid on Pokemon Sword and Shield and only until August 1.

If you don’t know how to redeem it, here’s how you can input the code:
- Open Mystery Gift in the X Menu
- Select a Mystery Gift
- Select Get with a Code/Password
- Save your game and connect to the internet
- Input the code: PC4F1NALSBEAST
After performing all these steps, players will then be able to acquire the Beast Ball. This Pokeball is a special ball used to catch Ultra Beasts. This isn’t the first time that The Pokemon Company gave away free codes to redeem. Ever since last year, free download codes were spreading like wildfire in Pokemon’s Twitter account for almost every quarter of a year. Players were able to redeem some Pokemon, Ash’s Pikachu, numerous variations of Pokeballs, battle points, cosmetics, and other in-game items. The Pokemon Company also has other methods of revealing mystery gift codes just like what they did in the recent Pokemon Players Cup.
It’s most likely that active players of Pokemon Sword and Shield have made the most out of their inventory. Meaning to say, the free items being given away could mean nothing to some Pokemon enthusiasts since they already have a bunch of them. However, the fact that The Pokemon Company still gives away freebies is a good thing. It’s a great way to keep players engaged and wanting more free items, thus maintaining an active player base.
