As the January transfer window quickly approaches, one name that many are keeping an eye on is PSG star Kylian Mbappe. The Frenchman's current deal at the Parc des Princes expires next summer and it's believed that he will leave as a free agent and sign with Real Madrid.

However, he is eligible to put pen to paper on a pre-contract agreement next month, but Mbappe insists that he will see out the season with PSG. Coincidentally enough, he's also strictly focused on beating Los Blancos in the Champions League Round of 16.

Via Fabrizio Romano:

“No, I'm not joining Real Madrid in January. In January it's not happening. I'm in Paris Saint-Germain, I'm really happy and I will 100% finish the season as PSG player. I'll give everything to win with Paris all titles this year.”

“It's really not the time for me to talk about it. The only thing on my mind is to beat Real Madrid in Champions League. We are ready and I am ready to play and give everything for PSG.”

Mbappe seems disinterested in signing an extension with the Ligue 1 giants but as you can see, he is determined to win as many titles as possible this season in what could very well be his last one with Paris.

Real Madrid tried to lure the youngster away from PSG in the summer with a preposterous offer of €200 million, but the French side turned it down. It may seem foolish they didn't cash in when the chance was presented, but Mbappe is an extremely important piece of their success and will continue to be as Paris chase a Champions League trophy and another Ligue 1 title.

But for now, Mbappe has zero interest in speaking about his future. The writing seems to be on the wall though as Real Madrid looks to secure the services of the France international and Erling Haaland in what could end up being one of the most historic transfer windows ever.
