With Kylian Mbappe putting pen to paper on a brand new deal with PSG, rumors have been swirling that Neymar could be sold by the club if a good offer arrives. His contract does run until 2025, but between his injury problems and off-the-field issues, Paris may look to part ways with the Brazilian this summer.

Neymar addressed the rumors on Wednesday and made it very clear he's fully invested in staying at PSG and helping the side compete at the highest level.

Via Fabrizio Romano & Hadrien Grenier:

“It’s very true on my side that I want to stay at Paris Saint Germain. Afterwards, no one said anything to me.,”

“On my side it’s clear that I want to stay here at PSG”, he added.

Neymar's transfer fee of 222 million from Barcelona was the highest ever in the sport. However, he's really failed to live up to the expectations that come along with such a hefty price tag. The most league games he's featured in for PSG in the last five seasons in 22 and that was in 2021-22, registering 13 goals.

Most of the European giants aren't interested in him, while the MLS is not yet a reality because he is still too young. Barcelona president Joan Laporta teased a reunion with Neymar recently but it would only happen if the attacker was available on a free transfer.

With Kylian Mbappe now having a say in what PSG does in the transfer market, who knows what Neymar's future holds in the French Capital. There have already been rumors about their rocky relationship. Needless to say, Paris isn't exactly pleased with Neymar. The project may go on without him.
