Real Madrid's highly publicized chase of Kylian Mbappe gets blasted by Paris Saint-Germain's sporting director, Leonardo.

The French striker has been linked with countless rumors of joining Real Madrid in the past. During last summer's transfer window, these talks were amplified as news broke out that Mbappe wanted to leave PSG.

It seems that the current scenario doesn't please the PSG executive, expressing his frustration over the entire saga.

“At Madrid they are denying it, but I think that Real Madrid have been trying to sign Mbappe [as a free agent] for a while,” the Brazilian told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I see it as disrespectful towards Mbappe. He is not just another player, he is one of the best players in the world.

Over the summer, numerous players and executives of Madrid have been publicly expressing their desire to have Mbappe suit up for Los Blancos, especially fellow Frenchman Karim Benzema.

“He is a player who will play for Real Madrid one day or another. We get along really well and I would like him to be with me today in Madrid,” Benzema told RTL.

With Mbappe's contract expiring at the end of this season, PSG fans hope that the arrival of Lionel Messi can somehow convince the French star to stay. Meanwhile, supporters of Real Madrid are patiently waiting for the arrival of Santiago Bernabeu's next superstar.
