The memorial for former Las Vegas Raiders head coach John Madden, who sadly passed away in December, is being held on Tuesday. Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid was present at the memorial for the legendary Raiders head coach and delivered an emotional farewell to Madden. Before delivering his remarks, Reid made a hilarious comment on the Raiders fans, who were particularly raucous in their displeasure with the Chiefs coach.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid is hilarious. Before delivering emotional remarks on John Madden, he said that “it's great to be in the Black Hole”, which is an imposing section of the Raiders' fanbase. Ried hilariously added that he was glad he “wasn't in spitting distance.”

Perhaps the Raiders fans were still mad that Reid and the Chiefs had swept the season series this past year with their two blowouts. Or maybe the fans wanted to give Madden a proper send-off in the only way they knew how- booing a hated rival on behalf of their legendary head coach.

Either way, Reid took it in stride. Raiders fans should be thankful for the heartfelt remarks made by the Chiefs head coach about John Madden. They should put their hate of the Chiefs aside for just one day.
