America is still torn apart from the horrific incident that took place in Uvalde, Texas. 19 children and two teachers were killed in a shooting that could have been completely avoided with proper laws set in place. However, many were left having to set up the funerals, and apparently, former Las Vegas Raiders running back Bo Jackson helped out in a major way.

According to ESPN, “Jackson helped pay for the funerals of the 19 children and two teachers killed in the Uvalde school massacre in May, revealing himself as one of the previously anonymous donors who covered costs for families after one of the deadliest classroom shootings in U.S. history.” It's an incredibly kind gesture from the former Raiders running back.

After revealing to be one of the donors, Bo Jackson shared his thought process on donating money to the families of the Uvalde victims, per ESPN. It's awesome to see celebrities step up like this and help out those in need. Especially after suffering from such a horrible crime committed by a complete coward. The Raiders legend expresses his thoughts on donating towards the funerals of the victims.

Bo Jackson is familiar with Uvalde as he's driven through the town many times. The Raiders legend expresses his thoughts on donating towards the funerals of the victims. “I don't know if it's because I'm getting old. It's just not right for parents to bury their kids. It's just not right.”

Hopefully, one-day public shootings will be a thing of the past. The government hasn't been helpful with any of these situations whatsoever and it's time for a change. Thankfully, we have heroes like Bo Jackson who exist, so we at the very least have role models to take after. If the rules can finally change one day, then we won't need these types of donations anymore. Even so, shout out to the Raiders great, as he has helped the people of Uvalde more than their own police department.
