When the Oakland Raiders traded for wide receiver Antonio Brown earlier this offseason, he and quarterback Derek Carr immediately connected a very positive sign for the team.

Carr and Brown have not gotten much of a chance to work together in training camp, as Brown has been dealing with frostbite on his feet and was also embroiled in a battle with the NFL over the usage of his helmet.

The good news is that Brown is now back at camp, and Carr is excited about his return:

“It was kind of right where we left off,” Carr said, according to Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com. “He's such a good player, and we've spent so much time together that I knew when he came back it'd be just like he never left. He came in. You see him chatting it up with everybody on the sideline. He's our teammate. We love him. That's our brother and we're just happy that he's here so we can put our arms around him and head forward.”

Brown arrived at Raiders camp on time late last month but was immediately placed on the non-football injury list. He was removed from the list less than 48 hours later and partially practiced with the team, but due to his foot problems and his helmet issues, he stepped away from the field.

The NFL banned Brown's helmet because it was no longer certified by the NOCSAE, leading to the 31-year-old filing a grievance against the league. Brown proceeded to lose the grievance and ultimately returned to camp this past Tuesday.
