Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs III was involved in a serious car accident in Las Vegas on Tuesday morning, according to TMZ Sports. Ruggs is reportedly okay after the wreck.

Broncos insider Benjamin Allbright had earlier hinted at this news on Twitter after rumblings began to make their way around the internet, though he couldn't confirm specifics:

TMZ is reporting that Henry Ruggs III was involved in the crash at around 3:40 a.m. in Vegas. TMZ is also reporting a fatality, but there are no further details on that.

Ruggs' attorney released this statement to TMZ:

“On behalf of our client Henry Ruggs III we are conducting our own investigation as of this writing and ask everyone to reserve judgment until all the facts are gathered.”

Henry Ruggs III is in his second season with the Raiders after starring at Alabama. The wideout was the 12th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Ruggs has 24 catches for 469 yards and a pair of touchdowns this season for a Vegas team vying for the playoffs with a 5-2 record.

While it's good news that Ruggs doesn't appear to be seriously hurt, it seems there's a lot more information yet to come out about this situation and how he was involved.
