The Las Vegas Raiders beat the Indianapolis Colts 23-20 Sunday. It was a pretty big upset and one that shook up the standings in the AFC. The win kept the postseason hopes alive for the Raiders, who improved to 9-7. The Colts dropped into a tie with Las Vegas, as did the Los Angeles Chargers.

After the game, Raiders wide receiver Hunter Renfrow spoke to the media, detailing the game-clinching play, as noted by Levi Damien of USA Today.

“It’s all about the first step. If you can see it right before the DB does and Derek can find you, then you have a good formula for success there. Derek did that, the O-line did a good job of extending the play and letting us extend it, and Derek found me. It was a good job by him.”

The Colts tied the game with under two minutes left on a field goal from Michael Badgley. That left Carr and the Raiders offense with a chance to go win the game.

Raiders quarterback Derek Carr found Zay Jones for 14 yards, moving the ball across midfield. But after two straight incompletions, the Raiders needed someone to step up. Carr and Renfrow did that literally.

Carr got pressure coming right up the middle. He sidestepped and moved up in the pocket and delivered a perfect pass. Renfrow leaped up and plucked it our of the air. He got and ran into the end zone but the officials, after review, ruled he was touchdown down. That moved the team into field goal range and set up Daniel Carlson's 33-yard game winning field goal.

Renfrow finished the game with seven catches for 76 yards and a touchdown. The Raiders will play the Chargers next week. If the Raiders win, they are in the playoffs. It's that simple.
