Despite playing in the incredibly competitive AFC West division alongside both the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers, the new-look Oakland Raiders have already encountered some pretty high expectations ahead of the 2019 campaign. Even though Oakland traded away some tremendously talented players during the 2018 season, the Raiders have managed to bounce back in no time while most notably acquiring former Pittsburgh Steelers All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown.

With Oakland now gearing up for the looming 2019 NFL Draft in Nashville, the Raiders will then be forced to turn their attention toward taking a look at the 2019 schedule — which may cause a bit of concern.

Over the span of Week 3 through Week 8, Oakland plays exactly zero home games in addition to encountering no road trips shorter than 1,920 miles. During this six-week sequence with five games and one bye week, the Raiders one non-true road game is overseas in London against the Chicago Bears with the remaining four true road games coming at the Minnesota Vikings, Indianapolis Colts, Green Bay Packers, and Houston Texans.

Of this group, Houston is the shortest trip at 1,920 miles.

Thanks to the addition of the aforementioned Brown, the Raiders could take a step in the right direction come 2019-20 — even if the team is forced to play six of its 16 regular season games against the Chiefs, Chargers and improved Denver Broncos. Despite trading away both Bears pass rusher Khalil Mack and Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper just last season, the Raiders now seem primed for a quick turnaround after what could ultimately become a solid offseason.
