The Oakland Raiders notably selected a trio of players as a result of the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft. With the Raiders selecting former Mississippi State defensive back Johnathan Abram with the franchise's final pick of the first round, the up-and-comer will now join the likes of former Clemson Tigers defensive lineman Clelin Ferrell and former Alabama Crimson Tide running Josh Jacobs as highly-touted Raiders rookies in 2019-20.

Abram can't wait to get his NFL career started in front of the diehard fans in Oakland.

“These are some of the hardest fans to play in front of if you are the opponent,” Abram said on Friday, via the team's official website, “but some of the best fans to play in front of if that's their team. I look forward to it, especially being the type of guy that I am, high energy. I feed off of that, the fans going crazy. I look forward to all the love, and even the downside. If you don't make plays, and they harass you. I look forward to that. It just means that they love this game, they love this team, they love this organization.”

Of course, the Raiders are looking to turn things around in a hurry after encountering a forgettable season in 2018.

While infamously trading away current Chicago Bears pass rusher Khalil Mack and current Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper this past season, the Raiders have since added some firepower in former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown.

Not only that, but the Raiders now have three first round caliber rookies headed to Oakland as some insurance.
