The Oakland Raiders introduced Jack Del Rio's successor on Tuesday with Jon Gruden making his official return to the team since being traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2002.

Along with a massive amount of media from the Bay Area, Gruden was greeted by a considerable amount of his former players from his days with the team along with some current players like Khalil Mack. Gruden saw no shortage of love from his supporters on Tuesday during his introductory press conference as he fielded questions and laid out his plan for what he has in store for this storied franchise in his second go round.

One of the things Gruden plans to do next season with the Raiders is to call the plays, via NFL.com's Albert Breer.

Gruden made it abundantly clear that he fully intends to be a hands-on coach when he returns to the sideline for the 2018 NFL season. The one-time Super Bowl champion will be in complete of his team while also helping general manager Reggie McKenzie in bolstering the roster in the NFL Draft and in NFL free agency.

Reportedly, Gruden has agreed to a 10-year, $100 million deal with the Raiders which definitely shows their faith in the 54-year-old. Although the confidence from the team's brass is there, Gruden didn't shy away from admitting he's got a lot to prove considering he hasn't been on an NFL sideline since 2008, via Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Only time will tell if Gruden can get the Raiders franchise steered back in the right direction following a 6-10 season and all the changes that have transpired in the game since he last coached a game in the NFL.

Despite all the questions that remain to be answered, there's no doubting the talent he's inheriting. Derek Carr has the potential to be one of the best quarterbacks in the league while Khalil Mack could make a case for already being the NFL's best defensive player giving Gruden a solid foundation to work on.
