The Las Vegas Raiders have had a busy offseason revamping their roster amid the relocation and the restrictions placed in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Defensive end Maxx Crosby is confident that they will be able to reap the fruits of their labor in the 2020 NFL season.

The Raiders made a number of splashes through both free agency and the 2020 NFL Draft. According to Vic Tafur of The Athletic, Crosby shared some high praise for the approach head coach Jon Gruden and general manager Mike Mayock have taken:

“Free-agent-wise and draft-wise, we did a great job. Mayock and Gruden are the best of the best when it comes to drafting.”

Crosby added that the Raiders plan to take the league by storm this season.

“I just want to get on the field with these new guys and start getting to work. We are going to wake some people up this year.”

Crosby's comments are certainly understandable considering he had emerged as one of the biggest steals of the 2019 NFL Draft last season. The former fourth-rounder registered 47 tackles, 10.0 sacks, and four forced fumbles to finish second in voting for NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Las Vegas managed to address their void at linebacker with the addition of Cory Littleton and Nick Kwiatkoski in free agency. They also managed to beef up their secondary by signing cornerback Prince Amukamara and safety Damarious Randall. However, their biggest splash came after taking cornerback Damon Arnette with the 19th overall pick.

The Raiders managed to turn heads with the fast start to the 2019 campaign before fizzling out down the stretch. It will be interesting to see if they are able to take that next step in maintaining their success this time around.
