The Oakland Raiders are emerging as a possible suitor for Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown pending they pull off a trade prior to this upcoming season.

It would appear to be a bit counterproductive for the Raiders to use the first-round pick they acquired from the Dallas Cowboys to trade for Brown. At this point, they really have no choice.

Oakland's offense is horrendous at best, and aside from tight end Jared Cook there were no consistent contributors throughout the season. Running back Marshawn Lynch and wide receiver Jordy Nelson both possess a lot of talent, but they are much older now compared to when they were top players at their positions years ago.

Brown would be a fantastic fit for the Raiders, and quarterback Derek Carr has to be clicking his heels with the thought of the team acquiring him. Unfortunately for the franchise, the Steelers have made it clear they want nothing less than equivalent value for one of the top players in the league. Oakland will likely need to give up at least one of their first-round picks for Brown, and the Steelers could have a nice first-rounder this season if they can pull the trade off.

Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert reportedly stated he wants to send Brown to an NFC team so they won't have to face him often. At this point, the Steelers need to trade Brown to whoever offers them the best deal, whether it's the Raiders or another organization in either conference.
