The Las Vegas Raiders are set out to try and surprise people during the 2021 season. However, Raiders quarterback Derek Carr is looking ahead to 2022 free agency. That's right, Carr is going to be thinking about pursuing Green Bay Packers star receiver Davante Adams– and former Fresno State teammate– next offseason.

According to Nick Shook of NFL.com, Carr is already planning on going all-out to bring Adams to Las Vegas.

“I would always welcome to play with him again. I think it would unlock some things in both of us that people haven't seen yet. I'm always open to that and I will be recruiting very hard. When that time comes, it will be a full-court press.”

That would be a welcome sign for Carr, who has seen somewhat of a revolving door regarding the receiving position with the Raiders. Moreover, the chemistry between the two during their time at Fresno State was second to none.

Surely the Raiders would be thrilled to bring Adams aboard next summer, although the price would be costly. Adams is coming off a sensational season, and with questions surrounding the Packers' quarterback situation and no imminent clarity with Aaron Rodgers, perhaps Adams decides to dash from Green Bay and head back out west.

It is a long way away, but Carr has surely already planted the seed in Adams' head and tossed the idea around of a possible reunion.
