Jon Gruden's second stint as head coach of the Oakland Raiders is officially underway. Gruden didn't waste any time making moves and shaping the roster in the way he wants it with a mix of veteran players he trusts and talented young players with a lot of promise.

Along with shaking things up with roster moves, Gruden's regime has made it abundantly clear that the team is determined to build around Pro Bowl quarterback Derek Carr. Oakland has their franchise quarterback in place and now they've brought in someone to help Carr learn how to succeed under Gruden.

Former Raiders star quarterback Rich Gannon took to Twitter to let it be known he would be with the team during minicamp.

After a six-win season in 2017, which was six wins less than the previous year, the Raiders are hoping to bounce back with Gruden in for the long haul. The storied franchise signed Gruden to an unprecedented 10-year, $100 million deal as the team transitions from Oakland to Las Vegas over the next few years.

Although Gannon turned down the Raiders' offer to become the team's quarterbacks coach, it seems as though he's more than willing to help when he can. Gannon would be an ideal mentor for Carr as he tries to take his game to the next level on a talented squad in Oakland with Super Bowl champion now calling the shots from the sidelines for the next decade.

Despite Carr's success during his time with the team up to this point, the Fresno State product will be put under the microscope during the 2018 campaign with Gruden focusing on making him the face of the franchise for many years to come. Gannon can only help his former coach achieve that goal moving forward.
