Despite playing for the Chicago Bulls now, Rajon Rondo is still well-loved in Boston, having played for the Celtics in his first eight seasons in the league. The former four-time All-Star point guard admitted that the people of the city are continuing to be nice to him, but he thinks that should not be the case anymore.

With his team facing the C's in the first round of the playoffs, Rondo said he doesn't deserve to receive that treatment from their fans and even went as far as saying that he should be booed by them.

Rondo was drafted by the Phoenix Suns with the 21st overall pick in the 2006 draft and was immediately traded to Boston. He was an integral part of their last championship in 2008, together with their “Big Three” of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen.

Even with the Bulls stealing Game 1 last Sunday, the team is expected to continue to rely heavily on Rondo to run the plays and make it possible for them to eliminate the East's top seed. Should the Bulls' quest come into fruition, it will be interesting to find out how the Boston faithful will then receive Rondo, especially when he's in town.
