Los Angeles Rams star Aaron Donald found himself in the spotlight lately, as he was alleged to have assaulted DeVincent Spriggs. Donald's lawyer Casey White has stated that a video shows his client's innocence, per Josh Alper of NBC Sports.

In a segment on 93.7 The Fan, White discussed that Spriggs was escorted out of a party after supposedly hitting Donald from behind. White went on to say that his client and his brother met Spriggs shortly after and that Spriggs tried to strike Donald's head with a bottle.

The lawyer claimed that these statements can be confirmed by the video and the accounts of eyewitnesses. White says that these sources will also affirm that Spriggs was being beaten up by other people and that Donald tried to stop this.

“He actually saved Mr. Spriggs from further injury,” White said, according to Brian Batko of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “It’s fantastic, from a defense attorney’s perspective, to be honest with you.”

During White's talk, he remarked that he read an email from the Pittsburgh Police Department, which supports the claim that the video evidence shows that Donald did not assault Spriggs.

Donald has and continues to be one of the best players in the league. He is a three-time Defensive Player of the Year winner. What makes his stats and accolades more impressive is that he is able to do all these playing as an interior defensive lineman.

He is primed for more dominant showings and the Rams are going all in these next few seasons.
