The Los Angeles Rams made a huge and rather unexpected splash in NFL free agency on Thursday. The Rams managed to nab the best remaining linebacker on the market, inking Bobby Wagner to a five-year deal. The move will further improve one of the best defenses in all of football, and it's safe to say his new Rams teammates are fired up ahead of his arrival in Los Angeles. Cooper Kupp took to Twitter to share his excitement at the Rams' marquee acquisition.

That's one less big-hitter Kupp will have to worry about after making a catch this season. The Rams and Seahawks, of course, face off twice per season as division rivals. Kupp has experienced the full force of a Wagner tackle in the past, and he's thankful it's something he won't have to deal with any longer.

It's got to feel good knowing that when they face the Seahawks, No. 54 won't be waiting on the other side of the line of scrimmage, ready to unload a ferocious tackle. Instead, he'll be punishing his former team twice a year, while instilling fear into opposing players who are now forced to deal with Wager, Aaron Donald, Jalen Ramsey, and the rest of the talented Rams defense.

Ramsey also chimed in on the Rams' big acquisition, clearly delighted to be teaming up with Wagner.

The Rams continue to find ways to add star talent to a roster already bursting at the seams with quality players, and the addition of Wagner could put them in a better position to run it back as Super Bowl champs. That's their goal, after all, and Kupp, as well as the rest of the squad, are fired up over the addition of Wagner, well aware of the type of impact he can have on a game.
