Los Angeles Rams star Cooper Kupp is coming off one of the greatest seasons a wide receiver has ever produced in NFL history. The Triple Crown winner is currently one of the most underpaid players in the NFL, though the Rams will surely address that in the near future. When it comes to what he's seeking in his next contract, Kupp had a surprisingly humble response. Via NFL Network's Andrew Siciliano, Kupp admitted he just wants to be compensated fairly, and he isn't looking to compete financially with anyone. The idea of being the highest-paid wideout in football is simply not important to the Rams' star.

“I don't think that's the approach that I take,” Kupp said on becoming the highest-paid player at his position. “There's a place you want to be. There's a place that I think is fair. I'm not trying to beat anybody. I'm not trying to compare myself to anyone else.”

As usual, Kupp kept it cool as ever with his comments. He's not worried about making more than the next guy, he just wants to be paid what he's worth and continue to play football at a high level. It wouldn't be out of the question for Kupp to demand to become the top earner at his position, but that's not how he operates.

Coming off a season during which he hauled in 145 receptions, 1,947 yards, and 16 touchdowns, Kupp isn't worried about fetching a historic new deal and certainly isn't gunning to outdo anyone with his next contract.
