The Los Angeles Rams secured the Lombardi Trophy with their Super Bowl win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Rams safety Eric Weddle, who joined the team late in the season, won his first ring with the victory. Weddle was then accused of ‘ring-chasing' by joining the Rams so late in the season. Weddle's agent, David Canter was having absolutely none of it. Canter fired back at those accusing Weddle of ring-chasing with a savage comment.

Eric Weddle's agent David Canter posted a picture of the ruptured pectoral– in two places- that his client played through in the Super Bowl. Weddle's agent then noted that his client played three quarters with the injury, called the plays on defense for LA and led the Rams in tackles during the playoffs.

The best part of the epic response came at the end, when Weddle's agent told those making the ring-chasing claims to “ring chase that.” There's often a tendency to make that claim about players who join star-studded teams like the Rams, though the franchise reached out to Weddle, who still had plenty left in the tank after missing over two years of football game action.

David Canter's epic response should stop anyone else from accusing Eric Weddle of ring chasing with the Super Bowl champion Rams.
