Through his first five seasons in the league, Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald has become arguably the best defensive player in the NFL. Donald has taken that to the next level this season behind his stellar play, putting together a career-best campaign heading into the Week 14 matchup against the Chicago Bears. Head coach Matt Nagy spoke about the talent the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year has on the field to make game-changing plays. (h/t Matt Eurich of 247 Sports)

“He’s a game changer, times three,” Nagy said about Donald. “You look at him and you wonder how he can weigh as much as he weighs and be as quick as he is. He's really extremely quick. He's savvy in regards to the different types of moves he has. He has the power. He's got the speed. He's got the athleticism. He can do it all.”

Beyond leading the NFL with 16.5 sacks as an interior defensive lineman, Donald has shown a huge knack for being able to make timely defensively plays at crucial moments. This was the case in the last two games, as he had huge sacks that created three fumbles.

Donald had a pair of strip-sack fumbles against the Kansas City Chiefs, one of which was returned by linebacker Samson Ebukam for a touchdown in the second half of that game. Meanwhile, he had another strip sack in the fourth quarter against the Detroit Lions when Los Angeles led just 16-13. On the ensuing drive, star running back Todd Gurley scored a rushing touchdown to essentially put the game away.

What is most impressive about Donald's numbers is that he's produced them despite receiving constant double teams on a weekly basis. This is a major part of the game plan the Bears have to account for on Sunday night if they hope to get past the Rams.
