The Los Angeles Rams are Super Bowl bound!

However, the typically high-powered and well-rounded Rams offense oddly did not really require the services of All-Pro running back Todd Gurley to defeat both the Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints in back-to-back weeks. Instead, it has been the burly C.J. Anderson that has carried the load in terms of the Rams rushing attack, paving the way for the NFC West franchise.

With such a notion becoming increasingly more prevalent over the course of the last few weeks, Rams head coach Sean McVay wasted absolutely no time commenting on the evolving situation.

“I for sure should have a done a better job of getting Todd involved,” McVay told Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times while also noting that Gurley will certainly be more involved come Super Bowl LIII.

Despite scoring a short-yardage touchdown on Sunday afternoon against the Saints, Gurley carried the football just four times en route to a mere 10 rushing yards. He also notched one reception on three targets for three more yards in the NFC title game. Conversely, the aforementioned Anderson toted the rock 16 times for 44 yards and one rushing touchdown of his own to accompany a five-yard reception on his lone target in the passing game.

Most notably, Anderson rushed for a whopping 123 yards and two rushing touchdowns on 23 carries against the Cowboys. Even so, Gurley was not tremendously out-matched in the Rams' win over the Cowboys as he added 115 rushing yards and one touchdown on 16 carries.
