The Los Angeles Rams narrowly survived a second-half comeback from Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. The win sees the Rams advance to the NFC Championship game where they'll meet the San Francisco 49ers, but head coach Sean McVay is well aware of how close the Rams were to blowing their lead against the Bucs. After the game, McVay discussed the far-too-intense second half of play and commended his team for staying tough and not losing faith when things got difficult, via Stu Jackson.

McVay was proud of the Rams for sticking together as a unit and understanding the task at hand. When the Bucs looked destined to stage a comeback victory, the team didn't give up and managed to rally for a huge final drive. Speaking on that final drive, McVay revealed he went through all the emotions during Stafford's late-game connection with Cooper Kupp, a play that felt like it lasted an eternity.

McVay was just like every fan watching from home during the Rams' final drive, and probably had a pit in his stomach as he waited for the pass to come down. Despite the late surge from the Buccaneers, the Rams were able to escape with a 30-27 victory courtesy of Stafford's late-game heroics and a game-winning field goal from Matt Gay.

There's no downplaying just how intense the Divisional Round matchup between Tampa and LA was. Despite the 27-3 lead the Rams jumped out to early on, Brady nearly managed to repeat history with another marquee comeback. The entire city of Los Angeles froze during the final drive of the game, but Stafford managed to get things back under control and set up Gay's game-winner.
