Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley isn't very thrilled to be named a Pro Bowl alternate.

“I don’t know,” Gurley told reporters. “Usually when I made it, I just made it. I don’t know how that works. I don’t really care either.”

Gurley is not having his most productive season, rushing 188 times for a mere 741 rushing yards, along with 29 catches for 186 yards.

The running backs named to the Pro Bowl from the NFC Conference were Christian McCaffrey of the Carolina Panthers, Dalvin Cook of the Minnesota Vikings, and Ezekiel Elliott of the Dallas Cowboys. Gurley was named a Pro Bowl alternate and can play if the other voted backs elect not to play.

Gurley is on the downturn after having health concerns with his knee, the same problem that kept him limited in the teams Super Bowl run. Gurley isn't as explosive as he once was.

Gurley is currently on a four-year, $60 million deal with the Rams that will keep him in Los Angeles until 2024. $45 million of the contract is guaranteed.
