Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay is gearing up to defend their Super Bowl title next season, but things could change if money talks.

On Wednesday, much of the discussions in the NFL realm were about announcer trades. Apparently, Troy Aikman could be nearing a move to ESPN from FOX Sports in a deal that would pay him in the range of $17 million per year. Buried in those news, however, was the possibility for McVay to move to the booth as well.

With Amazon getting exclusive coverage of Thursday Night Football through Amazon Prime Video, the online retail giant is now searching for lead analysts. Al Michaels has been linked with the job, and there are reports he's hoping the Rams tactician could join him.

Tom Brady's name has also been thrown into the mix, though the recently retired quarterback has given no indication of his post-retirement plans.

Per Andrew Marchand of the New York Post:

Though Rams head coach Sean McVay has said he will continue on the sidelines this year, Amazon could make a serious run at him, according to sources. Tom Brady can’t be fully counted out as a candidate, but it should be stressed he has shown no indication he wants to work in a booth

Of course it doesn't look like Sean McVay will walk away after leading the Rams to the championship, even though there are reasons he could think that. Besides, he recently picked his new OC for Rams after Kevin O’Connell left for the Minnesota Vikings.

However, it's hard to say anything in finality. Amazon is a massive corporation that can pay as much as the other networks, and with the money top announcers and sports analysts make today, it won't be surprising if he chooses that path.
