Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry has been diagnosed with a bone bruise on his tailbone and is considered day-to-day, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Lowry suffered a nasty fall in Monday's 114-113 win over the Brooklyn Nets. It happened late in the fourth quarter when Lowry went up for a basket and was undercut in the air.

At first, Lowry tried to get up on his own power, but he could not walk. He was later carried off the court by this teammates.

In the immediate aftermath, it seemed as though Lowry had hurt his back. But it was later confirmed that a different part of Lowry's body may have been what was ailing him, per Eric Koreen of The Athletic Toronto.

That quote is probably one of the best ones a player has said this entire season, even if it came at a point of uncertainly for Lowry and his injury. The Raptors are fortunate that it turned out only to be a bone bruise and not something potentially worse.

There is no timetable for his return as of yet, but bone bruises typically keep players out for a few games. However, a bone bruise on a tailbone does not occur very often, so it could be more time that Lowry won't see a basketball court.

Lowry is averaging 16.2 points and 7.0 assists in 32.8 minutes per game this season for the Raptors. He has played in and started in all 38 games.

Without Lowry, DeMar Derozan will have to shoulder more of the scoring load.
