Kyle Lowry is undoubtedly the Toronto Raptors GOAT. Some players might have been more culturally impactful, like Vince Carter was back in his early days. Some players were clearly better than him, as Kawhi Leonard was during their 2019 championship run. But no NBA player has meant more to the city of Toronto and its Raptors than Lowry throughout his nearly decade-long stay.

Kyle Lowry had previously posted on Instagram to express his parting words in their entirety. But clearly that wasn't enough for him, as the longtime Raptors guard took out a full page add in a daily newspaper to make sure he got his point across. He was grateful.

If that doesn't warm your heart as a Raptors fan, nothing will. Kyle Lowry was the physical manifestation of Toronto's struggles in the NBA. He started off his career there on a lottery team before helping the team become a legitimate playoff team.

Then came the dominant regular season performances that were ultimately thwarted by LeBron James in the playoffs. But just like the Milwaukee Bucks did this season, the Raptors showed that perseverance pays off as long as you have the right group of guys. Kyle Lowry was at the center of the franchise's entire struggle in the 2010's and will forever be immortalized as the heart of their solitary championship.
