The hard-fought contest between the Toronto Raptors and Boston Celtics on Wednesday ended with a bit of controversy, with both teams involved in a heated exchange after the game. A prominent figure in the postgame pleasantries was Boston swingman Jaylen Brown, who called out Raptors coach Nick Nurse and his coaching staff after the game.

Brown said how he expects everyone to keep their emotions in check, most especially the coaching staff. Nurse commented on Brown's veiled shot, and the NBA champion coach is unsurprisingly in disagreement with Brown's statement:

“No. We’re just competing,” Nurse responded when asked if he thought his coaching staff was out of line, via Sam Amick of The Athletic.

The controversy stemmed from a key turnover committed by Celtics star Jayson Tatum in a crucial juncture in the contest. Nurse was standing in the corner of the court, which led Tatum to believe that the coach was actually his teammate. Tatum erroneously passed the ball to Nurse, which resulted in a pivotal turnover.

Whatever the case may be, the Raptors logged a double-overtime victory to force an all-or-nothing Game 7 to see which team will advance to the Eastern Conference Finals to take on the Miami Heat. This series has brought out plenty of emotions and bad blood, so Game 7 should be absolutely epic. It will be hard to top what we just saw in Game 6, but expect plenty of fireworks before a series winner is finally determined.
